ISTRA 50 is a high-purity calcium aluminate cement (CAC). Containing approximately 50% alumina, it is developed for applications requiring high final strength, abrasion resistance and reliable performance under demanding conditions.
Its combination of rapid hardening, high mechanical strength and resistance to heat and chemical attack makes ISTRA 50 a versatile binder for both refractory and specialised construction applications.
It also offers very good resistance to biogenic sulphuric acid corrosion, making it suitable for applications where conventional cement may be vulnerable to aggressive operating environments.
